Remora Skimmer Placement

I have a 3 compartment refugium and will hang my Remora on the side of it. Should I draw water from the drain, fuge or return compartment? I'm thinking of drawing water in from the drain compartment and putting the freshly skimmed water into the fuge compartment hoping that my Mag-Drive 3 pump will not exceed the incoming flow of water from the drain.
