Before the LR is here, should I leave the light on or it doesn't matter it is on or not? I bought the commercial packaged 10lbs LS for LFS, there is no life in it I believe, but baterial for cycling. It will only encourage green algae to grow and there is nothing that benefits from it being on...until your LR arrives. Then it is a debatable subject. Some say "leave it off, it will give you lots of algae" and others say "Turn it on, to preserve the life that came on it" I'm in the "turn it on" camp because the GHA will eventually die off and it will haunt you anyway, the other life is much harder to recover!
