Here's my equipment run down for my 12 gallon Eclipse:

20 lbs LS (already in)

20 lbs LR (already in)

96 W Quad 50/50 unit w/ legs from Hellolights ($97)

1 mini-jet 606 powerhead

1 aquaclear 150 HOB filter with attached skimmer

I've read and read on these boards and think I've come up with a well rounded supply list. I plan on keeping shrooms, zoo's, maybe frogspawn and a clown.

Sound reasonable?

When I get all my supplies in (ordering online tomorrow) I'll post a picture.

Sounds like you're on the right track! Where in Iowa are you? I'm in Des Moines so nice to see another Nano out of Iowa :). There's 4 or 5 active posters from Iowa here already....

Looks good ray. You should be able to keep most anything with that much light. Some people even keep clams under PCs with that intensity, although I wouldn't recommend it if you're just starting out.

Good luck, and be sure to post progress pics along the way.

jdsabin: Hey neighbor, I hail from Davenport -- good to see another Iowan! Is your tank online here? Are you in a local (regional) nano/reef club? I'd be interested if you are.

Ross: Thanks for the input. I've already made several changes (LOL) - started with a 5 gallon, then changed my mind and went to the Eclipse, different filter and lighting of course. Just waiting for my tank to cycle -- taking FOREVER!

Changsu: Yes I have a heater, therm and the hydrometer - thanks.
