newb111
So i have a top off tank that holds my ro water for topping off. The water once in the tank reads 0 but when i take a sample from the other end of the airline tubing it reads 20. After i run it a while it goes down to 2, but once it starts to pump again after it has been off it goes back up. It seems it is just flushing the stuff out of the airline hose but i am not sure. Any ideas of how this is bad? We strive to have perfect water but i never realized it could get like that in a matter of seconds. I just set it up a couple days ago, so do you think it will clean itself? Link to comment
hcsceo
r u saying the water in your RO reserve is reading 20? or the water that comes out of the tube reads 20 and the RO reserve reads 0? Link to comment
newb111
The second one. The RO in the reservoir reads 0, but when it gets to the end of the line it reads 20. Link to comment
hcsceo
hmmm. IDK I've never tried this before. contamination in the hose? or solids falling to the bottom of your container and getting picked up? maybe a your pump is leaking oil or something. I'm going to test mine the same way tonight and see. Steve Link to comment
newb111
Yea, its weird. After it runs though it goes down to 0, then it goes up again after it sits. Any other suggestions? Link to comment
The Propagator
That means your R/O is letting something heavy pass by that's settling once in your holding tank. Back flush your membrane, and replace your carbon and sediment filters. Link to comment
