jejenkins
Just wondering if it is possible I am ready for my CUC. BC 14 with 21 lbs live rock (purchased cured) Week one chemistry was zeros (assuming cycling had not started) Last week had SG 1.022 pH 8.0 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 10 (die off, something going now) Today pH 8.0 Ammonia 0 Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0 I have some brown algae on the sand, some algae formation on the rocks. Not running any type of Chemical filter (had carbon in til yesterday). Is it possible that the cycle has "done it's thing" in 3 weeks? My only guess if so is that the rock was indeed cured and the transition was smooth to my tank. Thoughts anyone? Jon Link to comment

bdare
If it's only been one week I would DEFINITELY wait longer. Nothing good comes quickly in this hobby. What test kits are you using? Link to comment

What test kits are you using? It's been 3 weeks. Week one zeros.....week two slight bump in ammonia, nitrate to 10............week 3 zeros again and brown algea growth present. Using API master SW kit. Jon Link to comment
