Ph level

GIRLGONEAQUA

Recommended Posts

I did a water test today to find my ph level is 7.4 (normal is 8.0-8.4 right?)

I know I just put new rock/sand in there, but i was a little worried.

Should I be patient and wait it out, or fix it?

it was 8.4 before i did the change....now its 7.0

Don't worry about it.... Put the rock and water in your tank and leave it alone.

Did you measure the Ph of your makeup water? Was the water sitting stagnent or was it being stirred by a powerhead?

More importantly than measuring the Ph of your tank water is measuing the Alk. Alk will help maintain a high Ph.

What test kits are you using?
