gastwa Posted September 12, 2008 Share Posted September 12, 2008 I just got an Aqua C Urchin and it is in my sump. It is making a lot of bubble noise (very noisy). There were no instructions with the unit. How far down/up should the unit be? Should the exit port be above or under water? Partially or all the way? How far up should the cup be positioned? bdare Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 There is a "paper towel" mod that will kill the noise. I used to have an urchin and it works wonders. Basically just fold a paper towel so that it will cover the section where the down draft port is. Also, from a conversation I had with the Urchin people, the water level should be at 10" for optimal performance. Link to comment
