audi206rs4 Posted August 28, 2003 Share Posted August 28, 2003 is it normal for the specific gravity to raise during cycling of a tank? i have topped off evaporated water w/ r.o./distilled water only... is this normal? i started and set the salinity at .024 and it was at .026 after about 4-5 days... thanks. Physh1 Posted August 28, 2003 Share Posted August 28, 2003 Yup....temp will affect SG. If when setting your tank up the water was cold you'd see a different SG than if it was 78 degrees. Depending on what your using to measure your SG could be it too as some are not very accurate and that variation is typical. Cameron Link to comment
