foxface
Hello. I was curious what everyones input was on the octopus protien skimmers. I will be using it on a 40g breeder which will possibly be upgraded to a 75 in the future. I am using a coralife superskimmer right now and the thing will not perform for me at all. Any input on this model would be appreciated. Thanks. Link to comment

cmador
I love my Octopus skimmer, works great and there are tons of mods to do to help it perform even better. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthre...threadid=898776 I highly recommend the gate valve mod to start with. Link to comment
Chrissy
We have the 150 for the 72 gallon, and it is great! The only problem we had is the footprint is pretty large...I think 12x9...we had to take a baffle out of the sump to get it to fit. Great skimmer for the money. Link to comment
bdare
I have an external recirculating Octopus skimmer running on my 40B. I LOVE IT! Link to comment
caponeman
Best skimmer I have ever had. I have tried many of the cheap ones like the Coralife, Red Sea, etc. I even have a Tunze 9015. This skimmer is head and shoulders above the others. I did make the air intake a little larger to increase bubble capacity. It only draws 45 watts with the mod so it is a great performer.
