i just finished setting up my tank and i'm now letting it cycle... i noticed that there are hundreds of bubbles forming on all my live rock. just curious of why it does this, is the rock breathing something so are those like gas bubbles, does it have anything to do w/ the salt in the water? just curious.

10 gallon aga

2.5 sump/fuge

18 lbs live rock

12.5 lbs live sand

2x36watts jbj combo light w/ 1x18 watts jbj combo on the 2.5

maxi-jet 1200 pumping h2o back into the 10 gal.

50w catalina titanium heater

thanks!

Orange Crush

i'm thinking you mean air bubbles. from my experience, they appear a lot when your tank is young, with not many in the morning to hundreds and hundreds at night. nothing to worry about.
