Break
The return pump and chiller pump I have jammed into the 3rd chamber of my Solana are rather noisy due to vibrations. What material do you guys recommend I use to quiet them? I've seen folks use a sponge but I would prefer something that isn't going to hold detritus. Link to comment
StevieT
rubber or plastic material for a buffer/gasket. Where on the pumps does it need to be located? Link to comment
Break
Just on the sides/bottom where it makes contact with the tank. So rubber then? Sounds like a plan. Link to comment
snowlancer2720
you could probably use some strategically placed rubberbands, the thicker kind, to cut the vibrations...good good good good vibrations Link to comment
reefone
in my ap i shortened the return line so the pump hangs in the chamber. made it real quiet. Link to comment
thecowkid
mousepads can release gas into the water. Link to comment
bdare
mousepads can release gas into the water. Just the airbubbles trapped inside... nothing harmful. Link to comment
StevieT
I have had this stuff in mind. It comes in a roll, you usually put it in your kitchen drawers to provide a non slip surface Link to comment

I agree... that might work as well. Link to comment
vangvace
tie straps so they float in the water instead of touching the walls. Link to comment
