T?@7
This stuff grows like crazy! Yesterday a new clover/head was starting to appear and today its almost full size! It came on a ricordea rock from ricordea.com and it also has another kind of macro on it, but I dont know that it is. Its kinda like spiny little stalks.... it doesnt seem to be growing like the halimeda. Should I be worried at all about this stuff? ~Yuncle Yector Link to comment
ModemMan8
I have abundant Halimeda on my live rocks. It does grow quickly and seems real hardy. I have been told that it takes in a lot of calcium from the water. I am doing weekly one gallon water changes and have also been advised that calcium should not be a problem. I am also feeding a few drops of CustomSeaLife's NutraSea Live Rock and Sponge Food and have seen a noticeable improvement in the color intensity of the coralline on the rock and an vast increase in the little red nobs that are sprouting up next to the Halimeda.
