JTNanoFish
I bought some stainless-steel tools from DR Instruments and just received them last week. I used the bone-cutters and the tweezers that came in my "Aquatic Fragging Tool Kit." I used them for like ten minutes and they got a little wet. I rinsed them thoroughly under warm water and Friday when I went to use them again there was a big rust spot on the inside edge of the tweezers and three corroded areas on the handle of the bone-cutter. Is this normal? Should I have not gotten the tools wet at all? It seems odd to me that they would rust after the first use even if I didn't wash them off. Link to comment
disaster999
saltwater is a really harsh enviorment for metals...even for stainless steel. it will still corrode and rust after being exposed in saltwater. its best to rinse and dry your tools after using them. Link to comment
