fishy610
Okay, I am a total newbie with freshwater experience and want to setup a nano-reef. I read as much as I can about nano reefs and decided to go with the following setup: Tank 10g All-Glass Lighting CoralLife 1x96W 20" Aqualight with 50/50 >I couldn't find any 2PC retrofits/hoods, altough I would prefer 2x26W or 2x55W. Is 96W too much for a 10g?< Heater 100W Ebo-Jager PH 2 Aquaclear 201 Powerheads >option: Lifeguard CustomFlow Water System< Water Quality Prizm Skimmer Bare-Bones R/O Unit 10gpd Live Stock 20# cured LR 10# LS 20# Aragocite (sp?) Instant Ocean Salt I might start w/o a fuge and add a CPR Aquafuge 12" w/Jimmi 13W Light later when I add livestock Good setup? ??? Link to comment
Vincerama
Sounds good! Too much LR IMO. I have 20 # LR and 10# LS and the tank is crowded. Go with 10-15# LR. Look into a different skimmer. I have the PRizm as well and, though it works OK, it's really picky about settings and you will be tweaking it all the time. V Link to comment
Physh1
I'd agree. Everything sounds generally ok except the LR and sand amounts. I'd go to 10-15 lbs of sand and around 15-20 pounds of rock. The prizm is loud.....I'd probably look for something else unless it's going to be in a place where noise isn't an issue. Cameron Link to comment
