Physh1 Posted August 22, 2003 Share Posted August 22, 2003 IMO, no. I'd run the MH around 8" - 10" above the tank. I ran a 150 over my 7 and I think it was way too much....my corals hated it. I would have tried a 70w but had pc's around. Cameron Link to comment

I run mine that high so I don't have any heat issues. 8"-10" isn't really all that high but be carefull with UV burn when you run halides low...expecially on small tanks. Cameron Link to comment
