Orange Crush
i think what is being said is noone quite understands the question. If you are asking, "Do I need water circulation in a fish only tank?" the answer is yes. Link to comment

zizmans
Hmmmm. I was being quite nice IMO. Have you EVER done ANY research on SW tanks? Just curious. Still not sure what a "reefles" tank is either. I'm guessing you meant "reefless" Does that mean FOWLR? FO? A fish and some bleached coral? Not that it matters. Anyways Slow, sorry....I mean Moe. How about some actual info on what you are planning? I would be happy to help in any way. Link to comment
Physh1
I'd suggest a book or two for ya. Tanks need oxygen and gas exhange...doesn't matter if it's a FW tank, SW reef or fish only. Current and flow are absolutely needed. You get circulation w/ any filter so depending on what you plan on using on the tank you may or may not need more. Can you inform us more on what you plan to set the tank up with? Cameron Link to comment
Moe
srry, I meant "reefless", as in no corals, shrooms, etc (FOWLR) Link to comment
Toooloud
Then yes.. you do need some sort of current breaking the waters surface, Casuing the water to become oxegenized.. with out this nothing will survive. Even if you just run a powerhead on along the water surface. Link to comment
