Need Help

Hi, I currently Have a 10 Gallon reef sitting on my dresser. The canopy was built for a 5 1/2 Gallon tank and it contains 2x28 watt power compact bulbs. I would like to keep the canopy setup and just downsize from the 10 to the 5 1/2. Also the 10 wouldn't fit on my desk where i want to put my tank but the 5 1/2 would. That is why i want to go smaller instead of larger. I have in the 10 Gallon currently and aqua clear 200 with nothing in the basket. Hagen 201 powerhead. 100 watt hagen tronic heater. Going to have a 50 watt soon. 10 lbs. tonga venisi rock. 2-3" sand bed. Natures ocean live sand. It's been setup for a while but i would like to know if you could give me directions on transferring from the 10 to the 5 1/2 without any losses. Thanks alot I appreciate any tips.
