Cleaning an Aqua C Remora protein skimmer?

i believe i read somewhere about soaking it in vinegar? i was just curious how you guys clean your skimmers, and how often? i am betting mine needs a major cleaning soon. Any suggestions, directions, or sites would be great.

I would use 1 part vinager and 1 part water and let it soak for a few hours. Give it a good rinse with fresh water and you should be good. It has worked well for both my remora, powerheads and my overflow. I don't clean my skimmer often. I clean the collection cup every few days but the main body I only clean occassionally.

+1 A small soft brush comes in handy for the tube and between the wall and tube also.
