Frequency Posted August 18, 2003 Share Posted August 18, 2003 Hmm for a 5 gallon? No more than 3 small ones? I think you would be ok with 2 without a hob and 1 with an hob. I have a penguin 550 and a penguin 125 on my 18g and it does a good amount of water movement. I heard maxijet makes some of the best powerheads available, If i get a new one it will be a maxijet 1200. I've seen it water 3' upwards from a sump to a tank. ps: I think i saw them selling them really cheap at marine depot. Link to comment
