Barb
I bought this at the store yesterday because the label read "purified using micronfiltration ozonation ,reverse osmosis and/or deionization". When I got home I noticed they also add small amounts of sodium bicarbonate, magnesium chloride, calcium chloride and sodium sulfate. Is it okay to use for top offs or water changes? Link to comment
tinyreef
if those are the only additives then it should be ok. i just don't trust 'mineral' or 'spring' water. it may be good enough for humans but definitely not for reefs. if you want try a wc of 10%, if the tank responds nicely fine if not i recommend distilled. imo, it sounds ok to use. try testing the water for phosphate and nitrate. if it shows these then chances are it's 'spring' (aka tap). those show up from agricultural sources from what i've seen and read. hth Link to comment
