eleer
I would just like to know if I should turn my power head off or keep it on in my bucket of saltwater I mix. It is a 5 gallon bucket and it takes me about 2-3 weeks to use it all up. Sooo should i keep the powerhead on at all times or turn it off after the first night. Thanks alot!!! heres a pic of my newly started 10 Link to comment

SeaMountain
I used to leave mine running all the time. Now when I mix fresh SW, I run the PH & heater overnight. This ensures the salt is thoroughly dissolved. Then the night before I do my WC's, I kick on the PH & heater so it gets to temp and the water is once again thoroughly mixed. Relly I don't think you can go wrong either way. btw... Nice looking tank... Looks just like mine did when I began! Link to comment

Sorry Sea Mountain I need to ask: 1) When you refer to fresh SW, are you talking about SW that you purchased from LFS? or, just "freshly made" SW. 2) PH? What's that stand for? I keep thinking.. PH levels etc.. Link to comment
jrlim
Ralegen, correct me if I'm wrong but what SeaMountain is saying: 1) Fresh SW = freshly made SW 2) PH = powerhead Link to comment
