Macraider
I've had my water tested by Aquarium Water Testing (an online service) and the results twice have come back with high readings for Silica (SiO2-3), Potassium (K), Boron ( and Molybdenum (Mo). My water is Cambridge, MA tap water, filtered by a Aqua FX Barracuda 4-stage RO/DI unit, mixed with Salt from Get Tanked Aquariums (www.gettankedaquariums.com). Is it possible for any of those to be present in my RO/DI water before adding the salt mix? Would you suspect the salt mix? Or is it something else? It is a new tank. The water has been cycling for two months with only live rock and sand in the tank (nothing else). Lighting has been minimal (due to a problem setting up my lighting). There is some algae growth (and nothing in the tank to consume the algae). Water changes have been regular. Thanks! -Chris Link to comment
bdare
AWT has not proven themselves a trustowrthy source for water testing. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Ben Link to comment
