keithw Posted June 29, 2008 Share Posted June 29, 2008 Anyone own one of those Marineland C-series filters? I have a new C-220 and when it runs theres a slight rattling noise that comes from it. It's not loud, but enough to hear from a few feet away. Is there something wrong or is this normal? Link to comment

EspiE Posted June 29, 2008 Share Posted June 29, 2008 Check the impeller and its housing. Since that's the only moving part in the filter, chances are good that's where your rattling noise is coming from. How long has it been running? Link to comment
keithw Posted July 1, 2008 Author Share Posted July 1, 2008 A few days. I emailed marineland and they said to soak the impeller in vinegar for a few hours but that did nothing. Gonna see if I can get a replacement. Link to comment
