green tiped  leather

hey i got my first frags in the a life yesterday i had a really small green tiped leather  in my prop tank so i put it in this smornin it looked like it was peeling at the bottom kida flaked like  will it bo ok or what should i do thanks for the help cam

Don't leather corals shed a clear sort of skin every once in awhile?  I think their skin kind of peels off and floats away as part of their natural growth.  Is the part that peeled off kind of clear?

Did it look shiny or waxy before the stuff started coming off?  If it did it is normal.  If it looks like a spot where there might be an infection you should take your hand and rub on the infected part to get infection off.  I had a small leather in my 50 gal. that was always peeling but after a year or so the thing was a foot in diameter.
