sukeband
Hey everyone, 1st time poster. I just got my tank last week and put a bunch of live rock from my local fish store (Figi) i think. The rock was in large vats and cost 2.45 per lb I brought it home and noticed a lot of life but was wondering what this was. It has a bright white curled tube and a very bright red crown occasionally pokes out just a little. Link to comment
NanoBound
I have one just like it in my tank...I am assuming it is a christmas tree, but open to others opinoins. Does it have what appears to be a black worm head that you can see as it starts to come out of the tube? Link to comment

ardenen
Wow! Where'd you get Liver Rock for 2.45/lb?!? I wish they had a place up here in the Pacific Northwest that sold it that cheap! The best price I can find is 5.99/lb That feather duster looks like a dwarf feather duster... I have one in my tank. www.longviewnano.com if you wanna see pics. Or you can look at the picture on live aquaria -- http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di...d=23&pCatId=750 Link to comment
sukeband
The place is called Jeff's exotic fish, if anyone if the Los angeles area needs a good place. Of all the stores i been to they've been the most helpful. Its more like a large warehouse rather than a store. http://www.exoticfish.com/outletcenter.html I was surprised at how much life was on the rock. I got about 20 - 30 of these tube worms. And a couple amipods. On the 10 lbs I bought. I hope the inital ammonia spike doesn't kill everything off. -Rob Link to comment
