planning nano

mad jack

Recommended Posts

I am going to set up a standard 2' (24"x12"x12") as a nano, Aquaclear HOB filter, 2" DSB, a few kgs of LR. I want to keep a few zoos, softies as well as a few LPS. I'm thinking about using some PC's for the lighting but don't know how many or what type, any ideas? are my plans sound? will it work?

The best option for that size tank (no matter what you're keeping) is the 96w powerquad from hellolights.com (about 100$). This would be the best thing possible because even for my 32 watt retrofit I paid around 60 bucks, and the lighting in that powerquad is over triple the amount...well worth the price. Also, you wouldnt be limited in what you could keep if you ever did change your mind from softies. I really wish I would have gotten a 10g for that light alone...its an awesome deal, and I would go for it~
