Beginner question: when you scrape the algae off the tank side, do you try to remove it from the tank at the same time (I assume answer is yes but not sure)? Vincerama Posted August 7, 2003 Share Posted August 7, 2003 If you have a HOB filter, run it with filter floss (ie big cotton ball) and as you scrape algae, hopefully the algae will get sucked into the hob to be harvested out. Might work better if you turn off other sources of water flow. V Link to comment
caja Posted August 8, 2003 Share Posted August 8, 2003 I usually scrape algae with an old credit card to get the places the mag float misses. Algae scraping coincides with WC day so scrape algae, do WC and run floss in the HOB. Link to comment
