I have a coral that looks like an anemone. what is it....

is it a coral?:alarm:

Torch corals (Euphyllia glabrescens) and plate corals (Fungia sp.) can look like anemones, but you're going to have to be a lot more specific if you want a more definite answer.

so are a lot of things. do you have a pic? if you dont have a camera have you looked on the web for something that looks similar? what does the mushroom/coral thing look like?

Maple trees are not reef safe.  Additionally, they prefer colder temperatures than those found in our reef aquariums.  I suggest taking it back to the plant nursery and finding a more suitable species.  :tongue:

 

To me, it sounds like a frogspawn, maybe, but you'll have to describe it in more detail, or find a picture somewhere.  Check out the pictures at www.marinedepotlive.com, or www.ffexpress.com.  :)
