hobbzz
The mantis (a smasher) is about 1.5-2 inches, and so is the angler. Am I asking for trouble? If the mantis were a spearer I would give myself a definite "hell yeah you're asking for trouble", but like I said it's a smasher... I'm thinking that the shrimp wouldn't be interseted in the fish, and would also put up to much of a fight for the angler to bother going after it. Am I insane? Link to comment
six-liner
Well, smashers are a little more outgoing and more aggressive than spearers, and they are a little hard to accurately say wether it will attack the frogfish itself, or not. I would be concerned since it is a small tank. The shrimp may attack it's food and give such a resounding sound from the sanp, that it could harm the frogfish, if not at 1st then over time. Keeping these 2 animals together would be a definite cool thing, but only in a bigger tank. I would say a 30 long (standard 30) or even like a 40 breeder wopuld be an excellent tank. whatever you do, let me know how it works out for you! good luck SixLiner Link to comment
