ShaneC
hey everyone. i am new to this aquariums but i have played with my friends text kits for ammonia.test kit before and worked with no problem. so i picked up a copper test because i am switching a old freshwater tank to saltwater tank. want to check if there is a trace of copper in the tank. the color chart shows after adding 10 drops of test solution and shanking and waiting 1 min the water should turn to a milky yellow color if it has 0ppm of copper (cu) and light brown color if it has more. but i keep getting clear water, no color. could i be doing something wrong? or could the test kit be expired? thanks in advance Link to comment
birch
I've used this kit before. Be sure you take the cap off your test tube and look straight down at the tube to match up the color. If you look at the tube from the side it will look clear. See the instructions if you have them or look on the back of the card for instructions. Link to comment
