dharned
This is probably the newbiest newb question there is, but I dont remember seeing this before. Looks like a white nub on the underside of the LR with 5-6 prongs coming off of it. Is it a polyp? It also appears like a feather duster has emerged from some dead coral on the LR. I remember seeing a light blue area on the dead coral and thought hmm, maybe the coral wasnt totally dead. Since then the blue faded into white and opened into a hole. Now days later there is a hard segmented white tube with an cup like opening coming out, about 1/4 of an inch long. Seems segmented, looks like there is something red inside. Can it be a feather duster? The tanks is young so I am getting excited about these little changes Thanks... Link to comment

SaltyDawg
Definately a featherduster , and the thing that lookslike apolyp is a small rock anenome. Not a pes type though. tey dont bother anything and stay very small with either agreen or yellot neon rim when hit with actinic light. Link to comment
