Tsunami AT-1 Auto Top Off

I have been looking at the tsunami at-1 auto top off, it uses air pressure rather than a float switch. I plan on putting it in my AquaC remoras prefilter box, so I need small size. I am gonna make a little pvc snail guard for it to be safe.

 

My question is has anyone used one of these? Any performance issues?

Would you share your experience with this ATO? I know its not extremely precise as it lets the water drop about an inch before starting the pump, but how is the reliability? Has it ever failed?
