Green Mandarin

Before the flamming starts I already have live pods on the way and plan to order live pods 2 times a month for the green mandarin.

Nice tank! That clam is adorable, what kind is it?

I don't think you will get flamed to much for the mandarin, it sounds like you are well prepared for it

I have a RSM as well, haven't got around to setting up a thread yet... :P

Keep the pictures coming!

Its a crocea clam, it is one of the smallest of the giant clams. I was worried I wouldn't have enough light but steviet seems to have good luck with is stock lighting so I tried it and so far the clam looks great.

Over a month and still millions of bubbles. Any ideas on getting rid of them and still staying stock?

Stock skimmer is working great now NO bubbles. The only problem I have now is that the diamond goby stirs up a ton of seddiment, but I have read that it will go away with time as he works through and stirs up all the sand

Well I finally got my 2 black and whites. This is a horrible picture, I will try and get a better one after they get used to the tank.

My brain frag and 1 of my zoo's have something growing on them and I don't know what it is. Can someone help me to identify this and give possible solutions to the cure.

The stuff on the brain looks like some algae or something, not sure.

And I have no idea on the zoa's.

Your tank is looking great, really coming along nicely.

Let me know how things go with the clam, I'd love to get one eventually

The clam seems to be doing good. He has grown about an 1/8 to a 1/4 of an inch since I got him. The white stingy stuff is really making me worry, I don't want it to get out of control.

Hey have you thought about training your mandarin to eat frozen mysis? SeeDemTails has an awesome method I might try and use to train one...

1.Get the fish to associate that clear plastic tubing with food.

2. Then feed it live brine through the tube

3. Then feed frozen brine through the tube

4. Then feed it a mixture of frozen brine and frozen mysis.

5. Then feed it frozen mysis.

And then your done! I also heard that some people place them in a small QT tank and just dump the frozen food in there until he/she eats it. They say that works as well. Just though it might save you money for live pods!
