jdsabin1
Do a search on green star polyps. That's what you've got there. Link to comment

KamDesai
I have the same thing but mine is purple with light purple/brown extensions Link to comment
caja
Definately a brown star polyp. Pachyclavularia. Fast spreading coral, tolerant of low-level and intense lighting and various currents. In other words it'll grow like a weed no matter where you put it. Link to comment
DLR31987
I've had it about two weeks. It doesn't seem to do much. In the store it had all it's polyps out and waving in the current but here at home it opens about half to 3/4 most of the time. My turbo has knocked it off it's perch twice before though, that can't be good for it??:*( Link to comment
KamDesai
Your waterflow could be too high...Mine was all open in the store and then would only open half way at home. Then I lowered the waterflow and it comes out even more than it did at the LFS. Link to comment
caja
It can take days to weeks for it to fully open (normal behavior for that type of coral). Make sure you place it in a secure location so it won't keep geting bumped around. Link to comment
DLR31987
I moved the coral to the other side of the tank, away from the direct output from the powerhead. It opened up much more today and seems to be doing great. Link to comment
