12g Aquapod Protein Skimmer

I recently set up a 12g aquapod and am just curious on what would be a good protein skimmer that would still allow for the hood to close?

The only one I know of is the AquaC nano remora. It's a HOB skimmer, so you will have to cut away a portion of the back of the hood.

 

There is no other skimmer available that will work and allow you to close the hood. The Fission Nano skimmer that Current USA makes will fit inside, but has very poor performance. Most people will tell you it is not worth the money, despite the price.

is this the same for a ap24 gallon. everytime my pistol shrimp moves the sand the tank gets cloudy.

You might be able to use the Tunze on the AP24. Compare its measurements to your chambers. Also some guy used to make skimmers specifically for that tank, but doesn't make them any more. You might be able to find a used one. I think they were called Sapphire Aquatics.
