Sexy Shrimp Posted May 22, 2008 Share Posted May 22, 2008 If your SG is slightly high look at is as a cost saving in salt I'd trust a properly calibrated refrac over a swing arm. But as filefish says - if the refrac is calibrated with RO, the swing might be more accurate. You could always try soaking it in vinegar and retesting just to check If you dont get any resolution you could always split the difference and try and keep the SG there. Your corals and fish can get used to a different SG over time, its instability they dont like... Link to comment
