Controllable Koralia question

Im looking at some powerheads and would like to get the Koralia nanos or Koralia 1 12v controllable powerheads. 2 questions:

 

1) can I run these without the controller for now; will they plug into the wall or do I need the controller to run them?

 

2) can I run them with the Aquacontoller Jr? If not can you recommend a small powerhead (34 gallon Solana aquarium) that can be run on the Aquacontroller but can also be just plugged in for now while I save the money for the controller?
