powerhead or pump

I have a 14G Biocube and am looking at upgrading the pump and starting a new setup (was previously FW)... I've been reading a lot and am wondering... most suggest the maxi-jet 900, however is it the powerhead or utility pump? I'm assuming the powerhead since its more readily available online, however I ran across the utility pump and it appears it would almost work better for fitting in the location.

MJ900 will be more than enough to start off with. You don't have any head pressures where it is, and you will get all the flow from the pump. Unless the utility pump is cheap, reliable, sized right (physically and flow wise), and safe (read: no metallic parts coming in contact with water), then the MJ900 is the better choice.
