f.a.q.
Is it ok to add dasani water to your tank? Thanks:) Link to comment
fuentes925
It would be much cheaper to buy water by the gallon. Most grocery stores carry R/O, D/I water in gallon jugs for about $1.00 each. If you are lucky you can find a water dispensing machine near by that has R/O water, I found one very close in a shopping center and it has R/O, D/I, carbon filtered water for $.25 a gallon, so thats only $1.25 for a 5 gallon jug which lasts me a month. Much cheaper then Dasani water would be. Also to be safe you should test your water supply to make sure it is ok. Fuentes925 Link to comment

KamDesai
Dasani is RO water but it has minerals added for "taste". Not sure if those minerals would be ok for a nano... Link to comment
NepTuNe-UsD
Ive topped off with dasani water many times and it didnt seem to harm anything in my tank. The only side effect is that my cleaner shrimp got used to it and is requesting only evian now. jk In all seriousness, the "minerals" in dasani never caused any algea outbreaks for me. Also, if the dasani changed any of the levels in my tank it did so on such a small scale that i did not notice any harmful reaction from any of the inhbitants in my tank. Link to comment
