mane3215
I bought a sun polyp about 2 days ago. I cannot get him out to eat. I have shot phytoplankton at him to try and get him out, and put msis shrimp on him hoping to lure him out. Today I put him in a bowl of salt water and put a whole block of msis shrimp in there, and then tried the phyto again. Nothing. I dont want the guy to starve to death. Any suggestions? Xavier
try when the lights are out for a bit... they are low/no light corals... it may not be used to the light so you may need to train it to come out during the day... Link to comment
mane3215
You mean to try to take itout of the tanka nd feed it int he bowl about an hour or so after lights are off? Link to comment
Xavier
don't take it out.. leave it in the tank.. it could be that it's opening up, just at night so you're not seeing it.. if you check your tank a while after the lights are out, see if he's open.. if not try feeding some phyto near him.. just a bit to get the "smell" out there.. see if he opens.. if he does, you may need to "train" him to come out during the day...
