koiman6 Posted May 5, 2002 Share Posted May 5, 2002 My Pearlescale has been laying down on his side but he gets up and his breathing is very heavy. He shows no signs of parasites, fungus, or cuts. His swimbladder is fine he just keeps laying down and not eating. I checked salinity, pH, ammonia, trites,trates and everything checks out fine any ideas? Link to comment
newie16 Posted May 5, 2002 Share Posted May 5, 2002 I think that you might need a water change. You probably have too much waste at the bottom of the tank. I would recommend doing a water change for your sake. That's what I did for mine and he was fine. Link to comment

You might want to move it to a special quarantine tank and give it a freshwater dip. Ive never had this problem so im just spitting out things which ive done for various diseases...sorry if this doesnt help much :confused: Link to comment
