dubious49
hey everybody! my newly introduced royal gramma has ich. i've been treating him with kent garlic extreme (in his food) and kent Rx-P (anti-parasite medication) since monday. the medication calls for dosing every other day for 13 days and i normally do a 10% water change every week. so the question is, should i wait until the end of the dosing cycle to do the water change or stick to my regular wc schedule? thanks in advance! - chris Link to comment
Crakeur
do your normal water changes. otherwise, the ammonia, nitrites and trates could rise and cause more damage. Link to comment

Scoot
ive been using that RxP stuff too with some garlic soaked food, the fish's ich has gotten worse. All the levels are stable in the tank, the Rxp i think killed my scooter blenny from overdosin, i dont get why the stuff is makin the fish worse. Find out some more stuff so you dont od your fish Link to comment
Tempest
From what I've read the only definite treatment for marine ich/crypto is to treat the fish in a hosptial tank with either a copper based medication such as cupramine or to do a hyposalinity treatment. Link to comment
