jrlim Posted July 30, 2003 Share Posted July 30, 2003 just bought a bag of Aragonite sand. Was wondering if I should rinse the sand before putting the sand in my tank. Technically the sand is established and has bio-live in it already, so if i rinse it, i will get rid of the bio-live. Any suggestions? Link to comment

Vincerama Posted July 30, 2003 Share Posted July 30, 2003 If it is "fine oolitic, sugar grained" sand, then rinse it or your tank will cloud over with dust and get over everything. If it is AragAlive, then stick it in and don't rinse it, you don't want to rinse away what you paid a premium to get! V Link to comment
