Infiniti
Hi all, i just started a 10 gallon tank. all i have right now are 20lbs live sand and about 9lbs of live rocks. the tank has been cycling for a while, and today's readings show nitrite-0, ammonia-0 and nitrate at 0-5. i don't know what kind of light i should use. i ordered 50/50 15W, but it doesn't seem like it's bright enough. i plan to put some anemone and polps (not sure if that's right) along with a couple of clowns. please advise me on what kind of light i should use and anything else i should be concerned with to make a successful tank. thanks for your advice(s), Infiniti Link to comment
tinyreef
a typical balance of half 10000K bulbs and half actinic is the usual standby. that is good enough to cover most of the bases and get you started. you can check out hellolights.com also championlighting.com has this pretty cool looking unit. i use two of the older 2x32w for a refugium and quarantine tank but that new unit looks pretty kewl. hth Link to comment
