LM
I would like to know how much everyone feeds their fish? I feed 1-2 times a day that they can eat in a minute and my family wants to feed more often. Link to comment

djlanius
Depends on the fish. Fish that graze need more frequent smaller feedings, and the big carnivores need less frequent larger feedings. What do you have? But, 1-2 times a day what they can eat in a minute or two sounds pretty reasonable. Beware of overfeeding, it can pollute the water and then your family wouldn't be happy... So do they want to feed more often, or more each time? More often probably wouldn't be bad, be careful about more each feeding. You might want to get the book "Marine Fishes" by Scott Michael, it's very concise, but has basic care and feeding requirements for just about any fish you'll ever want to keep. Link to comment
pulpsmack
I feed twice weekly. That's the beauty of a reef system: the food is already there. It also ensures that pollution is kept at a minimum Link to comment
