seabass Posted July 23, 2003 Share Posted July 23, 2003 After I popped some bubble algae, I was told that there are only certain times that it will release spores. Emerald crabs will eat bubble algae, if you wish to keep one in your tank (although they are hard to catch once they are in). You can remove your bubble algae if you want, but if it's just a few bubbles, you might decide to let it be. I really feel that it’s not as big of a problem as some people make it out to be. If it's just a few I usually pop them with the hose I'm draining water with during my water changes and suck up any spores that may be released. Seems to work just fine for me.
