Ericxoxp
I'm setting up a new 14g Nano with a 7g refugium and i was just wondering if it's bad if i do not put in live sand bcoz here in Montreal, Canada i can not find any and on the internet the best deal i found is 4$lb plus shipping. I'm starting it with 10lb of live rock in the main 14g and about 4lb in the fuge, should that be ok ? Will there be any problems with the cycle ? I'll add more LR later Thanx Eric Poirier Link to comment
killrblue
Go to http://www.drmaccorals.com for both your corals and live sand. They have the best looking rock. Mine is a mixture of live sand and southdown playsand, 7.5#s of live and 7.5#s of playsand. Link to comment
caja
I'm not sure if you can get Southdown in Canada, but if so, just use that and let the LR seed it. Link to comment
Ericxoxp
I allready email Dr.Mac, but he can not export live stock outside the US. Link to comment
dreamweaver_gcotb
Check www.liverocks.com They sell live sand for $1.25 I think. They might be able to ship to Canada. Link to comment
fishbabies
have you asked your LFS if your can buy a small cup of sand from one of their tanks? then you can add that to southdown or whatever saltwater compatible (dead) sands you might be able to find in your area Link to comment
