KartRacer4
Would a Kline's Butterflyfish be alright in a 7gal minibow aquarium. This is a fish only tank with live rock. The only other fish in the tank are a firefish and a green chromis. I keep seeing this fish at my local fish store and no one buys it. I know it will eat coral, but since my tank is a fish only, I am not concerned with that. Thanks Rob Link to comment
Clayton665
I think butterfly fish get pretty big. I think it might outgrow the tank pretty quick. Link to comment
tosi
The klien Butterfly fish would get too big for the tank. they'll grow to 5-6", which is pretty big for a 7gal mini bow. Can do a search on google. the species name is Chaetodon kleini Link to comment
pulpsmack
Actually I am nervous with the present scenario. Did you research these fish before you bought them? Three fish in a nano should rarely occur (2 are often too many). The other thing I noted was the addition of the green chromis. Did you know they are often only happy when placed in a school of 5 or more fish (3 at the minimum)? Of the three mentioned fish I can only see the firefish as nano-suitable for the previously mentioned reasons. Link to comment
