jd
when i get out the flashlight at night this lil guy looks diseased or something. his purple head is mostly white with blotchy purple leasions. that's what it looks like. in the morning he's back to normal color (purple and yellow). i have african cichlids that change color...some of them have drastic, beautiful color changes....just not when the lights go out. usually when mating or eating. anyone have any idea why the blenny changes color? kryptonite
He is just fine. They just do that sometimes. Mine does the exact same thing. If he looks fine otherwise then there is nothing to be worried about. Link to comment
kryptonite
Not sure why though, sorry. Link to comment
pulpsmack
Many blennies are change colors to adapt to the environment. My lawnmower blenny is a pale lemon yellow at night, a light tan on the substrate, and a deep rich brown with blue jewel-spots when he is hanging out on the reef. Link to comment
