peppermint22
My nano-reef has finally reached its third week of existence without any major problems, but I see patches of brown stuff starting to grow on the glass panels. What is the best method of getting rid of them and keeping unsightly algae at bay? Are magnetic cleaners really useful, or should I just pour in some anti-algae? Link to comment
Angel
It is all part of the cycle process. I do not add chemicals to my water, so I would suggest to wait it out. The more chemicals you add, the more room for error which is something that is not good for a nano. The brown stuff is diatoms. Do a search and you will find plenty of info on it and how to tackle it. Angel Link to comment
